Hmmmmmm.....

I know I have blown right through these past few post, not what I wanted to do but it is what it is.
It is what it is, I hate that saying, so its a real bitch but I am going to make more of an effort to update this and give it my best.

Time to get ready for bed, night all?

Beerfest at Pechanga

So I'm thinking beer fest, what can go wrong. Well thankfully not a whole lot except having a giant ball room and instead of spreading things out you put all the brewers right next to each other and don't make the aisles big enough for the crowds building up back to back.

Side note, I am the king of run on sentences!!!!!!!!!

The event was a lot of fun, they even did a chili cook off with 7 different entries. I don't think i would do this event again unless they rearranged the layout, and sold a little less tickets. Or they could sell the same amount but spread it out over two days. One of the nice things was that it was all the micro brews from all over and each booth had 2 to 3 beers or more that you could try.

Imperial House......

No this isn't a Chinese food restaurant, thanks to Jake he introduced me to a blast from the past. Located in the bankers hill area, Imperial House is on the main floor to a high rise condo complex. Entering underneath the red canopy you come to the large wooded door as if you are entering a castle. On one side is the main restaurant which is mainly a steak house, on the other side is the bar. Imperial House also plays home to the Mystery Cafe.

My first impression was the jazz bar from Anchor Man. The crowd is fun a mix of regulars young and old dancing or just hanging out having a good time. Now their is a piano and a pianist, but he doesn't actually play the piano. Why you ask, because he has his keyboard which he can load cartridges into that plays the music itself while he sings and drinks what looks to be a glass of scotch. You can get a decent drink for not a lot of dough, the staff is friendly and its just a fun place to chill for a little and move on.

Let me know what you think.

Until next time ( which is in 2 minutes), Eat Drink and be Rudy........................

Holy shite I am so far behind.....

If there is one thing that can be said about me it is that I am a procrastinator. I'm so far behind on these post that they may not even be relevant. So here is goes any way.....

A small restaurant that i had gone to and really enjoyed the ambiance was Jaynes Gastro pub on 30th st at Adams ave. The restaurant reminded me of a English country house with a patio that looked that took me right back to Europe. We had started the night with a small cheese plate which was nice but I was looking forward to dinner. Now as you all know I'm on the hunt for the best burger in town. Everyone around me was ordering the burger, i should have taken that as a clue. Instead I went with the pasta on the menu. I couldn't help it it sounded so good, fettuccine with pancetta and grilled asparagus.

The pasta was good but i was hoping for amazing. Jaynes is a place i will go back to for sure, i have to try that damn burger. This is a great place to go for a nice meal, maybe a romantic date under the dim light on the garden patio.

Sorry for the spelling errors I did it from my phone and don't have
spell check. Just to be fair this place isn't bad it's just lime any
other ec bar. Plus the bartender is Ez on the eyes.

Eastbound bar and grill in lakeside, ca.

Where to start, the new owners really put alit of money into this
place. The menu is basic, typical bar food usual hour stuff ie Taco
Tuesday. 14 tap handles and it's nothing unusal, do you need two taps
of PBR, Coors, Bud and Budlite. You have your staple of guniness,
Kirin for sake bombs, and of course some local brews Karl, and ballast
point. With so many handles you could do so much, let's just chalk it
up to being open for a short time and hop that they get a clue. Plenty
of tvs and a Internet connected juke box to round things out. Right
now the crowd is what looks like family and friends, no one will be
going out of their way to come out here, I didnt mean that to be
harsh. I'd drop in if passing by or if they got smart about the
taps, but that's about it. I do wish this place success, with no pool
tables people will go to 67 which is fine I just hope this place
doesn't turn into 67.

Until next time......... Eat drink and be Rudy

Best thing besides the Stone beers. Homemade pretzles

Round two at stone brewing. Waiting on some friends to join us, so
time to drink some beer and eat. The talapia ceviche still great,
drinking stone levitation cask ale. Service better than last time.
Must be because it's early. On to more adventours.
